1. Install Adaware Pro. 2. Update Adaware online 3. Check it is set to for "Active In-depth Scan" 4. Let scan run 5. Reboot system (will most likely scan again on boot to clear any spayware applications that had to be disabled prior too scan) 6. Uninstall Adaware 7. Update and scan with there own Antivirus 8. If antivirus is not installed scan with etrust 9. Uninstall etrust after scan is complete unless they wish to purchase ($40 initial $20 renewal) 10. Use your windows automatic updates CD and install any security roll-outs or service packs. 11. Check overall performance 12. Test system on internet for proper navigation and connectivity 13. OPTIONAL: Minimize "msconfig" background processes as required. (NOTE: only disable those that you KNOW are not necassary for proper PC function) 14. Reboot (Checking for any errors upon boot) 15. Reboot again. If no errors, PC is done.
